Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.the message we @HOPE FOUNDATION have been and are here to portray to great people of isiolo county.

 The great people of Isiolo county today on a most important  spiritual day in our calendar as we gather and celebrate iddul adha and talk about our most valued personality trait we must practice as Muslims.  I have chosen to tell you about being kind the basis on which we formed HOPE FOUNDATION just recently. According to Mark Twain “Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.”

Our aim was to remind each and every member of our society  to guard well within themselves that treasure, kindness. Know how to give without hesitation, how to lose without regret, how to acquire without meanness.” as said by GeorgeSand, a French novelist and memoirist.

All these wonderful successful people have left a legacy for us to follow, that to with great affection. Whatever may be happening around you, however difficult the times are or a situation may be, what you do and what you give to make it better, makes all the difference.our Community needs us the most ..what is it that we can do to help them and change their lives for better no matter how small the act is?

HOPE FOUNDATION is here to remind the people of isiolo that Kindness is the quality that each one of us must cherish and allow to flourish within us. Let it nurture, so we can make each soul we touch upon, a happy soul. By simply sharing, giving to others unconditionally is a way to be kind and generous. It is one quality that is possessed by big-hearted people only. It takes a lot of courage and a lot of patience to be kind to people, especially to the ones who are themselves unkind and care too little for others’ happiness.unfortunately so many of us expcialy the elite class and those whom have been blessed with more resources seems to be unkind... leaders looting funds meant to uplift lives of the poor majority to death, we use to blame national government before saying we are maginalised, but what is there to smile about even after devolution brought in in imaginable amount of funds closer to us through our county government?.. approximately 4.2B ksh as per isiolo county budget for the financial year 2019/2020 was unable to fund one single project that could have reduced the high level of poverty in Isiolo due to lack of good Community development policies. We are in an era where those meant to generate Community development policies have no idea of how to formulate and implement those policies and all they can formulate is how to make riches for themselves from the public funds . Therefore, leading to almost half of the funds meant for Community development being returned to the national treasury each and every year, while almost 80% of the population are living below minimum wage...how sad is it if we are are to get like 4B and after their renumerations and illegally acquired congrats the rest of the money returns to national treasury just because they can't generate Community development policies and formulate a comprehensive budget to utilize those funds just because they are living luxurious lives with stolen money so now they can't remember the poor suffering majority ,what does it cost these leaders to instead of it returning back reason beyond their stomach for a while and utilize the remaining amount in Community development policies, considering most of the poor and needy people are sleeping hungry.

We have learnt that Kind people are usually those for whom the decisions are to be taken, not just materialistically. For them the humanity comes first. Their objectives are clear and inclusive. Kind souls are humble, thankful and full of love and care. Presence of such people makes others compassionate and caring. They lead by example and usually are trendsetters, for they are courageous and motivated enough to do good without any external poking or reminding. They look for opportunity to serve and help. To be around such people is always a blessing, as there is a lot to learn from them. There is always a beginning. If I haven’t bothered myself with feeling empathy for others, and trying to do some good, it certainly does not mean that I am not capable. I can always change, if for good! And it usually takes a paradigm shift from being carefree & indifferent to being loving, caring and kind. A new mindset altogether! So people of Isiolo all I am saying is that if I want to live in a better county/society then I have to work towards it. I cannot sit around thinking, someone else is doing well, and I don’t need to expecialy those running county afaires .this is why we formed HOPE FOUNDATION to atleast do the little we can because we are tired of waiting.

Our situation  reminds me of a famous Akbar-Birbal story I read some times back, in which a minister suggests to his Emperor Akbar, testing all the employees of the palace, as to who is honest and who is not. Birbal suggests a way. He gets the palace garden pond emptied and asks Akbar to command each one to bring a jug full of milk and pour it in the pond at night. It will bring good omen to the kingdom. And then when it was checked in the morning, the pond was filled with water. In the court, when asked; the ministers, with faces pulled down in shame; admit to the guilt that they thought, “What would it matter if I won’t pour milk rest everyone else will, so no one will know.” That is what  is happening with us in our life too. We think someone else will be kind, I can skip. And this has led to a county full of misery, poverty,drug addicts, sychophants and want.All I'm saying to anyone reading this message is to be kind; don’t wait for another to do so.
