HOPE FOUNDATION , URGENCY TO FEED POOR & FIGHT HUNGER BECAUSE ITS NOT A FASHION BUT A REALITY.

IBRAHIM  MUSA WARIO(executive director ) together with HOPE FOUNDATION FRATERNITY.

We dont know if it's a course or what it seems our people mostly ,elites among  us are relactan when it comes to important issues that touches our less disadvantaged lives, and we are one selfish Community on Earth where those who have enough don't even let alone sharing even to hear about others suffering in pooverty,..if this platform was to discuss politics you could have found more than a thousand comments. But because it's about empowering lives people go mute, may Allah guide us.

But only if we knew what Pooverty is doing to our society we couldn't kept quite. We FORMED HOPE FOUNDATION to empower our community and change lives but as we interacted with our needy people just after ther formation of CBO we found out that .the main challenge almost 80% of our people are facing is pooverty.therefore we made it our priority to fight hunger as a course of emergency.

And this is why,

1.Poverty is especially harmful to children during the early years of life, a finding demonstrated by countless studies over the years. It has been linked to disruptions in learning and academic performance. A number of studies have shown that children living in poverty begin to show lower cognitive and academic readiness, as early as age two, and to perform worse on a number of cognitive measures – a finding that continues as children progress through school. Poor children are more likely to repeat a grade, to be expelled or suspended from school, and to drop out of school do I have to give an example on this look at the performance of our students over the years, last year isiolo was the least county interms of performance kinna secondary got like 46 Es.you can imagine.

2. Children from poor households are also more likely to suffer from chronic health conditions, including asthma, diabetes, hearing, vision and speech delays.we got countless cases in isiolo.

3.Poverty can have lasting effects on the brain structure. A recent study published in JAMA Pediatrics found that children living in poverty had smaller hippocampal volume, a region of the brain linked to learning and memory, as compared to children who were not poor. Poor children were also found to have smaller amygdala volume, an area of the brain linked to emotional functioning.an arlaming situation in isiolo county.

4.The effects of living in poverty persist well into adulthood. Childhood poverty has been linked to overall poor health and higher rates of mortality in adulthood. Childhood poverty and chronic stress can even lead to problems regulating emotions as an adult.evidence is out there for all of us to know.
Please help us help needy.
