Imagine waking up every morning worried where the next meal is going to come from for you and your family? Imagine going to bed hungry every single night having barely eaten that day? Imagine watching your child cry out from hunger?
This is sadly the reality for the about 60% of people in isiolo who go hungry each and every day in some of the county's poorest communities/words kinna ward being one of them.
Food is a basic necessity for survival and also the key to a healthy life. Without regular healthy meals children struggle to go to school, carers struggle to work and communities are left battling to survive.
HOPE FOUNDATION AIMS AT Ensuring Hunger No More in isiolo county.
Here at HOPE FOUNDATION, we’ve been working with communities across isiolo county since we came into existence like 4 weeks ago. We know just how important a nutritious diet is. That’s why we’re striving to ensure that no child or adult goes hungry.
We work to provide sustainable long-term food solutions for communities in need, as well as offering short-term lifesaving interventions in response to hunger emergencies we encountered while interacting with those needy families.we tried our best to feed those that are in dare needy of food with what we had but it wasn't enough.infact we discovered dozens of families striving in HUNGER..that is why we have came up with fundraising program and we are begging and pleading with those who have enough to find it in their hearts to share as little as they can with those hungry members of our society.as an emergency and short term solution in fighting HUNGER.
As we plan on our long term solutions of fighting HUNGER by distribution of seeds and train locals to improve agricultural production, also introduce small-scale farming to enable families to improve their diet and increase their income and establish community-run food banks to help as many people as possible in future in shaa Allaah.
With additional local gardens to help children in local communities and irrigation schemes to increase agricultural productivity, we’re aiming at enabling communities to grow more food. What’s more, when inter Community war, conflict and natural disaster-hits, we want to be straight on the ground to support communities in need.
We are planning to establish and support emergency feeding centres to support severely malnourished children, provide emergency food packs and food vouchers to help individuals and families in crisis and also distribute fresh Food during Ramadan to offer a vital protein source for malnourished families.
By supporting our hope Foundation programs, you’ll be helping to feed families in times of emergency like now as we are facing COVID-19 pandemic and to fight food poverty, to ensure hunger no more for communities over the long-term.
